Worst experience I’ve ever had! Things started off well, had been there a few times with my 4lb and 8lb morkies. Decided to switch over and try their groomer. First time I just brought the smaller younger one for a puppy cut... when booking the appointment the owner said that they couldn’t do a puppy cut because he was too matted... when I brought him in they said they would either de-mat or shave him so I chose dematting for an extra $20 but they refused to cut his hair other than the sanitary parts and around eyes and ears. The groomer got in a fight with me!!! She wouldn’t do what I told her the owner said. When I went to pick him up the owner gave me a $5 coupon for next time. I figured it may have just been an off morning for her and I’d give her one last chance with both dogs. The owner told me they’d be $62 per dog. I dropped them off this morning and I went to pick up my smaller dog and I GOT BIT by someone else’s dog. I said it was fine because I didn’t want to cause a scene and they had a girl with a first aid kit come out and clean + bandaid it. After that they said they wouldn’t give any discounts but they’d give me some treats for my dogs 🤔 I’m the one that got bit here! And there was blood! After the grooming I went to pick up the dogs and I did not like the bigger ones haircut. I told them what I wanted and showed picture beforehand and the groomer (no surprise) still had a bad attitude and judged me for what I asked... ALSO I made a very specific request before she groomed the 8lb dog and she DID NOT DO WHAT I ASKED!!! I just said to please not cut his eyelashes which are clearly black while the rest of his head is beige... and she cut them unevenly and mostly off!!!! She also cut the other little ones ears unevenly after I told her not to because she did before! After all of this I was not offered any positive customer service, they were pretending to be fake nice to me, didn’t offer the treats that were promised, AND THEN I GOT THE BILL!!! The smaller one was $62 as planned but the other one they charged me $85 - the $5 discount from the problems before! They told me “oh it’s $70 if the dog is over 7lbs” I said “funny because I was told they’d both be $62” and the owners response was “no you weren’t” WHEN SHE’S THE ONE THAT TOLD ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE! Then another $15 for dematting but I’ve been checking for mats and have been brushing him and he’s been fine! This place is disgusting. When I asked if they had any discounts for having more than 1 dog (like the vet does) her response was “we have a client that comes in with 3 dogs every 2 weeks and pays full price for each”... OKAY WELL SORRY IM NOT HER AND I HOPE YOU ENJOY HER BUSINESS BECAUSE THATS THE LAST TIME YOU’RE SEEING US!

Nice clean place, friendly staff and the cutest dogs clothes. The price is a bit high but totally worth it . They even have “ chewy Vuitton “ dog toys .

I visited Barking Babies about four years ago, during a brief visit to Vancouver. It says a lot about the store and it's staff that I haven't forgotten either! I have two Chihuahuas and was delighted by the selection of cute accessories and clothing for my little ones! I plan on returning to Vancouver soon and will definitely be stopping into Barking Babies! Until then, much love from Calgary!
