I’ve been going to Camp Awakening since 2014 after I lost my mother but at first I was nervous and scared since it was my first year. But the staff made me feel welcome and less nervous and scared. And after 2014 I fell in love with this camp. Before attending this camp I went to Kenesserie Camp. I’ve been going to camp since I was eight years old. Both camps are the best. Camp Awakening has so many great staff and campers. I’ve made awesome and caring friends that I still keep in touch. I love all of the great activities. My favourites are canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing and many more. The program ive attending before I aged out of going to Oconto was MILES. But anyways I highly recommend sending your child(ren) to camp Awakening!!! And now I’m attending the YLD program this summer 2018!!

I spent several summers at Camp Awakening, and I loved every minute of it! It was a great opportunity for adventure and growth- going on canoe trips, learning to sail, tubing, and more. I also got to spend time creating fun things at Arts and Crafts and Pottery, which I loved. The activities were great, but the best part of the feeling of family you get with the staff and campers. I still have so many friends from that time! Camp definitely made me who I am today.
