If you’ve never heard of a Dental mill, this is it. This place sacrifices service for the sake of making a buck. Staff is not friendly and the receptionist is always rude if you allow her to be. Every time we are checking out there seems to be some problem with our automatic drafts that are supposed be coming out of our account and they can never seem to get it figured out. This place has a high turnover of employees and there’s always new faces being trained there. I was even approached by a dental assistant asking for a referral for work when she found out that I do work for a lot of dentists as a contractor. She had nothing nice to say about this place. The lure to this place is the location, location, location. It’s easy to get to and convenient but there are so many other pediatric places opening up around here that it is no longer easier for me to get to this place. They schedule mass amounts of people and dr nerah tries to get to everyone at once but cannot so you wind up waiting to get “serviced”. They always promise a quick visit but it never is. The staff all have an attitude like they are in a bad relationship being employed there but things will get better so they are holding out. Too many other “caring” dental offices to choose from so once my daughter is done with her braces it is time to head on down the road.

I called to schedule my 2 year old for a first-time visit (new patient). I had previously had issues with confirming an in-network provider with another dentist, so I asked the office to verify with my insurance that they'd accept the coverage I had because 1) I had to schedule my appointment 6 weeks out; and 2) I didn't want to get a call a few days before our appointment to be informed that they in fact do not accept my insurance. I was told that there was literally no time for the office to verify that with my insurance, but, they could do it in about 2 weeks, at least. I called the office after 3 weeks to follow up and informed them that I had not received a call yet to verify acceptance of my insurance. I was told I received a phone call and voicemail just a few days prior; however, nothing was received on my end. Once we got to the office, it took the receptionist appx 30-40 min to contact my insurance to see what I'd be responsible for out-of-pocket -- even though I had recommended this be done several weeks ago so there wouldn't be an confusion at the appointment. Once that was determined, my daughter was able to be seen. The dentist, Dr. Michael Wilkerson, has zero 'bed-side manner' and made no attempt at making my 2 year old feel comfortable. He made her lay with her head in his lap so he could examine her mouth - which I found to be completely inappropriate. She was uncomfortable and scared the entire visit. Had he talked to her, or done anything most pediatric dentists/doctors do to ensure the child is able to trust them, she wouldn't have been so tense. The exam lasted 60 seconds -- so, I had to wait for a 60 second exam for 6 weeks. Horrible experience. I will not be returning. We are military, and I can't tell you how stressful it is to move state-to-state and not be able to find decent care no matter where you go.

I brought my 4 year old and she was pretty nervous at first but warmed up quickly. There is a nice play area in the waiting room with TVs, toys, and a gaming system (XBox, I think). Josie was our nurse and she was FANTASTIC! She explained what each tool was and let her touch them first. There was a TV in the room and afterwards Josie made her a ballon animal. We had an awesome experience.

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, flat screens all over the place with cartoons and kids shows, perfect for kids.

Bad billing practices! My kids have had 4 separate visits over two years and each time we've had problems with them attempting to bill us for item my insurance covers 100% or billing for codes that are not approved by my insurance. Each time, I've told them upfront that I should only pay my copay based on my policy. Today was the final straw. I gave them the same info and the same explanation as past visits, but that had to talk to other people on the office and call my jnsurance to verify what I'd said. By the time they found out that I had spoken correctly, my appointment time had passed (by an hour) and that said they'd "fit me in" in another 30 minutes. I'm done with they're questionable billing.
