I tried a class a while back and thought the environment was really friendly and welcoming. However, the instructor I had was quite young and she didn't seem very fit or athletic which didn't motivate me to continue. In addition to this, the staff were always trying to be in two places at once...they had far less employees compared to other gyms I've been to. Overall I think they need more people...and I'm not sure I would recommend if you want to get in shape.

The Toronto Hapkido Academy has been a truly wonderful experience. As an adult engaging in martial arts for the first time, the environment has been ideal. All of the instructors have been motivating, knowledgeable, and supportive. The classes offer a great workout and a chance to feel a little bit badass. I look forward to continuing the journey!

Signed up my son for the kickboxing classes and so thankful that I found this place! Coaches here are the nicest people I have ever met. They are patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. My son was very comfortable around the trainers all the time. He learned a lot and I noticed a significant improvement in his behavior, confidence and technique.

I signed up for the 3-week trial and saying that so far I really enjoy the adult classes is an understatement. I think this academy is amazing. The place is clean. The facility has A/C and also it's nice that there are chairs to sit and watch/wait for the next class. I find it especially notable that instructors and students alike are personable. Everyone is positive, professional and supportive. It's a great environment to be in after a long day and just to keep up fitness as well as learn and practise something new in every class. The instructors have been very attentive, and will introduce you and help break the ice by having everyone welcome you to the classes. I think it's great and helps to build the culture! Classes have an excellent mix of variety and stays interesting for me while also helps with practising and doing drills. Each of the instructors are friendly! They remember names and are good at involving you in the classes. I mainly have been taught by Master Dayo who is entertaining and informative with his teaching and ties it in practically with 'street' fighting. I think the dojang has a good professional vibe while balancing approachability and personability. Five stars!
